Skull base surgery
The skull base is the most complex territory in neurosurgery โ a narrow corridor of critical nerves and blood vessels where the brain meets the face and neck. Dr. Shyam holds advanced skull base surgery certification from Weill Cornell Medical College, USA (under Prof. Antonio Bernardo) and operates on lesions in this region using both open microsurgical and endoscopic keyhole approaches.

These operations demand millimetre precision to preserve vision, hearing, facial movement and hormonal function. Each case is planned on high-resolution imaging, often jointly with ENT and endocrine teams, and patients receive a clear explanation of the approach, risks and expected recovery before any decision is made.
